A career path in audiovisual highlighted for its positive impact on the industry.
September 2, 2021 | NEW YORK NY – USIS AudioVisual, delivering design/build/service solutions for a digital and built environment’s AV technology stack, announced that Senior AV Design & Sales Executive, Scott Gantkin, has been named a Commercial Integrator Magazine 40 Under 40 AV Professional of 2021. The annual list spotlights influencers under the age of 40 making an impact on the audiovisual industry.
“After a nearly 20-year long career in an industry I didn't know existed when I first started setting up projectors, tripod screens, and powered speakers, I am honored to be listed amongst my peers on this year's 40 Under 40”, said Gantkin. “Spending late nights taping VGA and XLR cables down on the floor of the ballroom at Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, I never imagined then that I’d now be designing the distributed audio system for Rockefeller Center’s iconic Skating Rink, along with other Rockefeller properties. Scott began his AV career at the age of 19 learning how to gaff down cables for hotel events. He took on increasingly senior roles from there: Technical Director for MetLife responsible for all AV production and logistics; Technical Producer at IAC/InterActive Corp designing AV for over 150 events annually; Production Sales Manager at Blackbird Theatrical Services; and AV design and sales leadership at several leading AV integration companies. At USIS AudioVisual Scott manages one of the company’s highest profile clients, Tishman Speyer, responsible for design & integration of high-performance audio systems throughout New York’s Rockefeller Campus.
