The AV design/build project continues its recognition and award streak.
May 19, 2023 | NEW YORK, NY and LONDON, UK - USIS AV, providing Audiovisual, IT & Communications Infrastructure, Security & Access Control, and Unified Communication systems and solutions for workforces, workplaces, and marketspaces, is pleased to announce that hospitality and coworking client, Convene, has earned two new design and venue awards in the first half of 2023 for its Bishopsgate Venue including the 2023 British Council for Offices (BCO): Regional Award for Innovation.
The 2023 BCO Innovation Award highlights exceptional innovation in buildings in the UK region. From the BCO: “The Innovation award went to Convene at 22 Bishopsgate, a workplace that reflects changing work practices, while offering an unprecedented hospitality service, through its merging of meeting and events hosting with co-working spaces. The judges singled out this building for its impressive scale and design quality, as well as the high-tech amenities on offer. The panel also highlighted the way Convene offers businesses in the building and surrounding areas a meaningful space to connect, collaborate and progress, with its structured leasing leaving room to grow.”
Convene’s Bishopsgate Venue was also named a Finalist for the 2023 Conference Awards: Best Conference Venue, Up to 500 Theater Style. These new awards come on the heels of the London Venue & Catering Gold Award for Best New/Refurbished London Venue and Silver Award as Best London Venue for Hybrid Events of 2022.
Opened in Spring of 2022, Convene Bishopsgate includes nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting, conference, and event space, complete with Audiovisual, IT & Communications Infrastructure, and Security & Access Control designed and integrated by USIS. Venue adaptability was key, requiring AV tech for different workspace, meeting, and event needs, ranging from small huddle rooms to large forums with over 400-seat capacity.
The complex, multi-floor build-out included Huddle Rooms, Conference Rooms, Boardroom, Event Reception Halls, Divisible Event Hubs, Green Rooms, Studios, multiple Digital Signage zones, Reception Area, and facility-wide Background Music and Paging system.
